Meeting for all ADHSU Control members

ADHSU members working in NSW Ambulance Control know how difficult it’s been working with their on-road colleagues to help patients over the past two years. Burnout is extreme and the work is more stressful than ever. This, coupled with the wage freezes of 2020 and an ever-increasing workload, means the attrition rate in Control has never been higher. This places an unfair burden on those who remain, trying to keep their heads above water.
Issues in Control have been raised time and time again at local and statewide JCCs. Unfortunately, it seems Ambulance has no clear solutions to any of these problems and many questions were simply taken under advisement.
JCCs have highlighted the Service’s lack of initiative when it comes to making Control a better place to work. Despite this, ADHSU delegates know that the solutions are often most apparent to the workers who are actually doing the job. Members must meet to discuss a plan to solve issues with staffing, work distribution, responsibilities, and training.
All members working in Control for NSW Ambulance are invited to a zoom meeting @ 1600, Monday 14 November. The zoom link will be sent out via text on the day.
