The HSU has been contacted by members regarding Mid North Coast Local Health District’s decision to close Kempsey Hospital Mental Health Unit. The HSU has not received any formal correspondence from MNCLHD management about this decision. We have written directly to the Chief Executive to condemn the decision, and the lack of transparency and consultation that is required in instances of workplace change.

Given the lack of information from the MNCLHD, the Union is directing HSU members who work in the Mental Health Unit to present to your normal place of work. If you encounter any difficulties, please email your HSU Organiser [E-Mail not displayed] immediately.
