HSU members call for improvements to NDIS

Over 1,500  HSU members have had a say in our recent NDIS worker survey, which has now formed the HSU submission to the federal government’s NDIS review.

This submission was based on your experience as workers in the industry, but also on your important role as advocates for people with disabilities and as campaigners for better services to support them.

HSU members from across the country were involved in the process. This important step furthers the advocacy work of passionate HSU delegates, following our recent visit to Parliament to meet with Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme, the Honourable Bill Shorten.

Both in lobbying members of the government and in the HSU submission to the NDIS review, HSU members have delivered a clear message about the safeguards needed to support disability workers, and the need for greater stewardship from the federal government to support the NDIS workforce to deliver better outcomes for clients.

By having your say HSU members ensured that our submissions are created by workers, for workers, and for a more robust NDIS for all.
