Following the HSU’s recent win in the Fair Work Commission where Genesis Care were forced to bargain for an Enterprise Agreement with the HSU, Genesis Care issued the Notice of Employee Representational Rights (NERR).

Issuing the NERR officially kickstarts the bargaining process, which means that it is important to put together a list of important issues that will be discussed as a part of the bargaining process. This includes things like rates of pay and allowances, overtime penalties, leave provisions, and rostering conditions.

The HSU will write to Genesis Care this week and propose that we meet over the coming weeks to begin negotiations. In the meantime, we need as much feedback as possible from HSU members so that we can put together our log of claims.
