With only weeks to the opening of the new Emergency Department and the transition of services to the new Clinical Acute Services Building, management from the Redevelopment team did not attend the final Work Health and Safety inspection at 8am, Friday 5th February.

We know our members are dedicated health professionals and are looking forward to working in a state-of-the-art building with the most modern technology. However, members should not be forced to work in areas which are potentially unsafe. This could also include being understaffed, which leads to increased workloads.

With many challenges ahead and management apparently pushing forward regardless, Union membership has never been more important.
