CHHC: HASAs vote up work bans in response to roster changes without consultation

HSU Health and Security Assistants at Coffs Harbour Health Campus (CHHC) have endorsed work bans effective Monday 13 May, in response to management’s failure to engage in genuine consultation with union members before implementing a new roster.

Management ignored the HSU’s dispute notification and call to invoke the status quo and attempted to press ahead with a new roster containing two new lines from Monday.

This afternoon, members voted to ignore the new roster and work the old roster until such time as CHHC undertakes genuine consultation.

CHHC has invited the HSU to a disputes meeting on Tuesday 14 May at 12:30pm. The HSU has requested CHHC distribute consultation documentation in advance of this meeting.

Members will receive updates following the outcome of the meeting.
