This morning management requested urgent discussions with HSU representatives. During these discussions management acknowledged the genuine concerns and the stress being placed on members and indicated that they would consider their position and get back to us.

As at the time of this newsletter going out, there has been no contact from management. It is hoped that a common sense approach to these staffing issues will be achieved.

Clearly the action taken by members is having an effect and this morning’s meeting was the result of member solidarity. We need members to stay strong and committed to the resolutions passed by our meetings on Tuesday.

As soon as we have any further information it will be forwarded to members.
