CCLHD Admin Job Cuts

Published November 15, 2024
Central Coast Local Health District are proposing to restructure AO2 Admin Inpatient Unit departments across Gosford, Wyong and Woy Woy Hospitals. The CCLHD Executive claims this restructure will provide a more effective workforce and better patient services.
This is not true. This restructure is all about cost cutting. Staff members across CCLHD Administration are the ones who will have to pay under this proposal. What is it going to cost you and your colleagues?
- Job losses: 28 people will lose their jobs across CCLHD – 26 in Gosford alone
- Increased workload: the Gosford workforce will be depleted by over 30%. Who do you think will be doing all the additional work?
- All staff will have to reapply for their positions: if you are not successful in reapplying for your own job you will be placed into a mobility program and could potentially be forced to work in another government sector. Management do not want to pay for redundancies and will avoid at all costs.
- Staff will be required to work 10-hour shifts: Do you have family or personal commitments outside of work?
This proposal will have significant impacts on all staff. Do you think this is acceptable? Do you and your colleagues deserve these cuts?
What can you do?
HSU members must unite against this outrageous proposal. This is your time to say NO, this is not acceptable!
Speak with your colleagues, encourage people to come forward and speak up. You all have rights.
