Cardiac Physiologists Award Reform: Our Time is Now!

It has been 20 years or more since the HSU Awards were last negotiated.

For HSU Cardiac Physiology members without an MRS background, this means pay and conditions have not kept up with other states, private practice and does not reflect the complexity of work or attract and retain staff.

Cardiac Physiologists have experienced significant expansion in scope of practice, skills and professional recognition – the only thing missing better remuneration and conditions to support what is an increasingly complex profession.

In the last year, HSU Cardiac Physiology member representatives have worked hard to develop a new proposed Award structure to recognise this change in complexity and professional requirements.

This week, the draft of this Award will be released. Now is the time for members to provide feedback on the Award claims. A meeting for all Cardiac Physiologist staff (including non-members) is scheduled for Thursday 19 December at 11:30am.

Don’t miss out – join the rest of your profession in understanding the claims and importantly how we can win them together.

Registration for this meeting is mandatory. You can register at this link.

New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
