Canterbury Hospital: Are you being paid your Laundry Allowance? Have your say!

HAVE YOU BEEN PAID YOUR LAUNDRY ALLOWANCE? FILL IN THIS SURVEY ASAP!

Dear Member,

Recently some HSU members at Canterbury Hospital raised concerns about not being paid their Laundry Allowance.

As members may be aware, any staff member who is required to wear a uniform at work must be paid Laundry Allowance (unless their employer launders their uniform for them).

The HSU is now in the process of pursuing back pay claims for affected members.

Have you also been affected by the non-payment of your laundry allowance? All HSU members are encouraged to check their payslips to ensure they’re being paid correctly.

Back pay claims of up to six years can be pursued if allowances have not been paid correctly.

For the HSU to pursue further claims for members at Canterbury Hospital, it’s important members fill in this short survey and have their say.

Survey closes Friday, 17 January 2025.

Once the HSU has gathered this information, we will submit a claim for you to be paid the Laundry Allowance you are entitled to, with back pay where applicable.

If you require any further information regarding this matter, please contact HSU organiser Kym Morgan at [E-Mail not displayed].
