HSU members recently attended the eighth bargaining meeting with Bolton Clarke for your new Enterprise Agreement.

While progress has been slow, there has been some movement from the initial pay offer which allowed for increases of 3% in the first year of the agreement, 2.5% in the second year, and 2.5% in the third year.

This has now been increased to 3.5% in the first year, 3.0% in the second year and 3.0% in the third year. This is in addition to increases won by the HSU’s Work Value Case.

There has been no agreement on backpay or an increase to sick leave. We believe the pay increase alone is not enough.

Your bargaining team will continue to bargain for you in the New Year with the next meeting scheduled for 29 January.
