Belconnen & Tuggeranong Community Health Centres: Duress Alarms

  • Published February 9, 2023

Canberra Health Services has provided an update on duress alarms at Belconnen and Tuggeranong Community Health Centres.

The correspondence appears below:

I am emailing to provide an update on the recent duress system issue that impacted on some of the duress buttons at Belconnen Community Health Centre (BCHC) and Tuggeranong Community Health Centre (TCHC).

I can advise that all duress buttons within BCHC and TCHC are operational as of Friday, 3 February 2023, including alarm activation sounds and annunciator messaging for all duress buttons.

Considering this, the additional temporary safety measure of locating a security officer at BCHC and TCHC has now been stood down.

Some ongoing work is continuing with Digital Solutions Division and the vendor to fully configure the room indicator lights. Please note these lights do not affect the alarm activation sounds or annunciator messaging when a duress button is pressed.
