HSU members continue the fight to protect and improve our conditions. In the meantime, Ramsay has indicated they will provide a new wages proposal within the next fortnight.

Their current proposal includes these annual wage increases:

• 2.5% from the first year of the agreement.
• 3.0% from the second year.
• 2.5% from the third year.

Your bargaining committee has rejected the offer, expressing the anger felt across the membership at this insulting proposal. We have been eagerly awaiting an improved offer from Ramsay, which we expect to receive at the next meeting.

However, if we want wage increases that approach cost-of-living increases, we will have to become more vocal about the importance of our union. Let’s turn our anger into hope!
