Allied Health Award Reform – CHAP Award Documents Released for Feedback

HSU Awards covering Allied Health are out of date and not fit for purpose.

HSU Allied Health members are working towards a once in a generation improvement to pay and conditions, but also creating modern and more accessible Awards. This process includes amalgamation of several professional awards into a singular Clinical, Health and Associated Professionals Award (CHAP).

You are receiving this email because your profession will fall under the proposed CHAP Award and now is the time to have your say on the HSU Award claims.

The NSW Government committed to Award Reform for Allied Health. It’s time to hit go!

In the last 3 weeks, thousands of HSU Allied Health members have come together to review the proposed Award claims. Your HSU delegates developed these claims, focusing on attraction and retention, valuing the complexity of your work, career progression, and safety.

HSU Delegates have spent two years developing the draft Award and have sought extensive feedback from members.

Now, all members must have a say and ensure that the claims developed are correct and worth fighting for!

These documents provide the complete details of the HSU Clinical, Health and Associated Professionals claims:

  1. CHAP draft award.
  2. CHAP conditions log of claims.
  3. CHAP salaries log of claims (note: some professions have not finalised pay claims for this feedback process and will be provided as soon as possible).
  4. CHAP award FAQ.
  5. CHAP campaign overview.

What happens next?

HSU members can provide feedback from now until January 27 using the following survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CHAP-Feedback.

This feedback will be reviewed, and amendments made to the claims, they will then be released to members for final voting in March 2025.

Only members can take part in the survey, if you are not a member, please join prior to completing your survey response: https://members.hsu.asn.au/join
