Aged care pay increase survey: have your say & tell the government you deserve more

Dear Member,
The Federal Government wants to hear from you about aged care wages - have your say here: Aged Care Wage Increase Satisfaction Survey.
This year many HSU members received a 15 per cent wage increase in response to Stage 1 of the HSU’s Aged Care Work Value Case.
However, many members also missed out, and we are still fighting for the full 25% pay increase for all aged care workers as part of Stage 3 of our case (which kicks off on 4 December!).
The Government wants to hear from aged care workers about the wage increase so far, and what it means for you.
Have your say now: Aged Care Wage Increase Satisfaction Survey.
This is your chance to tell the federal government why all aged care workers need a 25 per cent pay rise, in line with the royal commission’s recommendations.
If you missed out on the wage increase because your job isn’t classified as a “direct care role” – including catering, cleaning, laundry, admin and maintenance, all of whom contribute to the care of residents – make sure you tell the government you deserve the full increase too. We can’t afford to leave anyone behind.
The survey is open to all aged care workers until 8 December 2023. Can’t access the link or have further feedback for the Department of Health and Aged Care? Email [E-Mail not displayed].
HSU members will be taking our claim for 25 per cent wage increase for all care workers back to the Fair Work Commission on 4 December. We’ll keep you updated as the final stage of the case progresses.
Do you know someone who isn’t an HSU member? Encourage them to join our campaign for better aged care wages today. We are always stronger when we stand together. New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
