The results are in: ADHSU Operational Managers (aka Superintendents) have voted to take collective action.
Last week, after multiple member meetings, ADHSU members voted on how to respond to the Ministry of Health’s withdrawal of their award offer. The results say it all: ops managers have had enough.
The results of the vote are as follows:
- 76% of respondents have voted to wear their blues and ADHSU yellow shields to work daily.
- 89% voted in favour of ‘working to rule’ - meaning they will only work the hours required (and paid for) under the Award.
- 85% voted for the use of social media to raise awareness of their fight
- 85% voted for an ongoing refusal to circumvent any other ADHSU actions including CCO and on road paramedic actions.
Not only is this an impressive display of strength from ADHSU ops managers, it is also a promising sign for all future industrial action from all areas of NSWA. Cooperation among ADHSU members has just become even stronger.
The Ministry of Health has been informed.
Get ready for action, starting next Wednesday, December 11.
