ADHSU members successful in fighting unjust paramedic incremental progression

Today, ADHSU members would have received notification that NSW Ambulance and the Ministry of Health will do what members have been calling for and progress paramedics’ pay based on years of service, not pro rata hours.

This is a testament to the women who shared their stories: 16 years of service, paid at year 5; a mother with caring responsibilities who would’ve had to wait 5 years to progress to the next pay bracket; part time workers who weren’t having their overtime and on-call hours counted.

Because of members’ actions, this will be rectified.
