The NSW Government has stated it is considering extending its portable Long Service Leave scheme to the Community Services sector.

If this goes ahead, it would mean that HSU members working in Disability Services would be able to take their Long Service Leave balances with them when moving between jobs in the sector, rather than having to start again.

It would also potentially apply to casual employees.
