HSU members working in NSW Health facilities have been campaigning for a fair deal for health workers. The Government has put forward two pay offers and a salary packaging offer which HSU members will be asked to vote over the next two weeks.
What will you vote on?
A pay rise
The NSW Government has put forward two options for a pay rise:
- A $3502 increase to all base rates in the Health Services Union Awards
- A 4% increase to all base rates in the Health Services Union Awards
HSU members will be asked to vote on whether to accept one of these offers, or reject both offers and take industrial action for more.
Salary packaging
The Government has also made an offer to stop deducting an additional 10% of your salary packaging tax benefits. This means you would receive 60% of your salary packaging tax benefits. When you vote, you will also be asked whether to accept this or to continue industrial action to get to 100% salary packaging.
How to vote
Voting will take place via a questionnaire sent to members via email.
