The HSU has been in dispute with HKH management about the process they are following to change ward clerks from Admin Officer Grade 2 to Grade 3. Management has embarked on this process without consultation and is requiring affected staff to reapply for their position. This shouldn’t be happening.

In the Industrial Relations Commission today, HKH management gave an undertaking that there would be no loss in jobs at Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai Hospital.

The Union will hold management to this commitment.

Management have still refused to acknowledge this is a restructure and accused the HSU of misinforming their staff!

What happens next?

With the undertaking given that there will be no loss in jobs, the dispute has been discontinued.

It has been made clear to HKH management that if any HSU members lose their position, we will immediately be back in dispute.
