Members in the sterilisation department at Westmead and Auburn Hospitals have raised concerns about working across both sites. While this was an historic arrangement, but unnecessary, as staff prefer to stay permanently at one or the other. There is enough willing staff to cover a roster at each hospital separately. 

Union members stood together to oppose the arrangement. Management have agreed in principle to split the department and are now looking at staffing arrangements to make it work. 

When members stand up for their rights, they win!
