Adventist Aged Care have been forced to agree to fix underpayment of its aged care workers after HSU members discovered the company was paying the incorrect rate and took action.

Aged Care workers at Adventist had expected their hourly pay to rise to $30.11 from 1 July 2023 following the interim decision from the HSU’s historic aged care work value case – however, workers discovered they were being underpaid.

HSU members wrote to Adventist HR pointing out the error and management quickly agreed to pay the correct rate.

This is what happens when union members stand together and call out management doing the right thing!
