Union members meeting in Springwood this Thursday night

Australia used to have the most secure jobs in the world. Now more than one in four workers are in insecure work, with no access to leave entitlements or other basic rights. In aged care, insecure work comes in the form of low hour contracts – 8 hours a fortnight when you are working 30 hours a week – which equals total flexibility for employers without even having to pay casual loading.
All workers deserve a job they can rely on, that allows them the security to support their family.
Union members across the country are uniting to fight for secure, reliable jobs. And this week, union members are meeting in Springwood to discuss what we can do together.
6.00pm Thursday 18 November
at the Royal Hotel, 220 Macquarie Road, Springwood
As an HSU member working in aged care, I would like to invite you to come along and hear from others in our union movement. It’s also a chance to meet other HSU aged care members working in the Blue Mountains.
