As you may be aware, Durham Green, Blue Hills Manor and Kintyre Lodge have recently been acquired by BaptistCare. This means that your employment will be transferring to BaptistCare.

As part of the consultation process, HSU representatives recently met with Tulich Family Communities (the parent company of Durham Green, Blue Hills Manor and the Kintyre Lodge) to discuss the upcoming change.

HSU members raised several issues about the process, including the need for clear consultation and concerns about all members’ accrued entitlements being properly transferred to BaptistCare. We also sought clarification on the new contracts and transfer of business process.

Tulich Family Communities has confirmed with us that all members years of service and leave entitlements will be honoured and carried over to their new employment with BaptistCare. This include all leave balances, years of service for long service leave, and honouring any leave that has already been approved.

Tulich Family Communities also confirmed that they have copies of all original contracts, which have employee’s contracted hours printed on them. If you are concerned about your contracted hours while transitioning to BaptistCare or if you’ve lost your copy of your contract, please contact Tulich or your direct manager as soon as possible to secure another copy of your contract with your hours printed.
