We are writing to you because you attended the HSU Psychology Committee’s letter writing activity on June 17 and indicated you wished to join the HSU.

There has never been a better time to get involved. As you heard during the meeting from the HSU Psychology Committee reps, the pay for NSW Health Psychologists has fallen a long way behind the pay for NSW Education Psychologists.

This is despite the significantly higher level of complexity of supporting acute and crisis patients. There are already over 600 HSU Psychology members building the campaign for this to change – but we need you too.

HSU Psychology members will shortly launch the campaign for Award reform. As you may have heard during the meeting, this will include the initial letter-writing activity: a coordinated effort to request a government response on how they justify such huge pay inequities for Psychology within the public sector.

Only HSU members will be provided the template and guidance to take part and supported throughout the process.
