Members working within the waste team at Tamworth Hospital have been calling on HealthShare management for help.

Members expressed concerns to management that the current three staff members cannot continue to provide an essential service to Tamworth Base Hospital without an increase in staff.

Management’s attempted solution is to make changes to shift start and finish times for a trial period. The HSU has repeatedly requested that HealthShare provide details about the trial. Unfortunately, HealthShare have ignored our requests and have not entered into genuine consultation with HSU members about changes to their working conditions.

The HSU has formally notified HealthShare of a dispute, and a Disputes Resolution Committee will be convening on Friday 1 April.

Start and finish times remain as per the current roster.
