SWSLHD Primary & Community Health: Urgent meeting for Allied Health members
-
Published September 7, 2021
The HSU has been contacted by a number of allied health members within SWSLHD to advise of excessive workloads and other issues.
Many of these members volunteered to be redeployed earlier during the current outbreak and are now under pressure to remain in these roles, leading to frustrations and concerns. Members are not employed within their scope of work and are making decisions that they feel could be placing their clients at risk. Members report widespread feelings of burnout and fatigue.
In order to address these issues, your organisers Gina Agius and Parthiv Mehta have planned an urgent zoom meeting for tomorrow at 1:30pm. All members are urged to attend the meeting.
Date: Wednesday 8 September
Time: 1:00pm

Being in the Union means we don’t have to tackle these concerns alone. As a group, we can approach each problem and decide how to get the outcome we want. And when we stand together, our voices are much louder.
If you have colleagues who are also affected by these issues, invite them to join the HSU and attend the meeting too. The more of us there are, the harder it is to ignore us. New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
