The HSU has received correspondence from South Western Sydney Local Health District regarding redeployment of staff to priority roles at Liverpool, Bankstown, Campbelltown and Fairfield Hospitals. This is a temporary measure in response to the increasing number of COVID-19 hospitalisations and the impact of furloughed staff.

This is a challenging time for all health workers, but it’s important to remember that the employer must still abide by your entitlements to excess fares and travel which can be found in your Award.
