The HSU has received notification from Catholic Healthcare that they intend to permanently close St Mary’s Villa Dubbo. The closure is part of a process which will consolidate Catholic Healthcare operations in Dubbo to only the Holy Spirit facility.

Catholic Healthcare has alerted that unfortunately not all St Mary’s Villa staff will be able to be consolidated to Holy Spirit and that some staff members will be made redundant, however they commit to exhausting all avenues of possible redeployment. During this process, it’s important members understand their rights and receive representation in any future meetings.

Throughout this process, you have right to be consulted with which may include one-on-one meetings to discuss the changes and how it will impact you. We understand this will be an extremely difficult time and we can assure Members that the HSU will be available for support.
