Published August 6, 2021
As COVID cases have hit the Hunter region, the Federal Government has now rolled out its Single Site Program across a number of local government areas:
- City of Cessnock
- City of Lake Macquarie
- Dungog Shire
- Maitland
- Muswellbrook Shire
- Newcastle
- Port Stephens Council
- Singleton Council.
The Single Site Program is a voluntary scheme to support workers and employers in these areas to work at one workplace and not be financially worse off. This is funded by the Federal Government to support employees and employers, and will be in place until 11 September.
A factsheet about how this works can be viewed here.
You can also access more detailed information about how it works here.
Our number one priority is making sure you and your colleagues are safe and supported. If you have any questions about the Single Site Program or any other matter, please contact your local HSU Organiser or Delegate, our HSU Member Services Division on 1300 478 679, or email [E-Mail not displayed].
Aged care workers continue to be on the frontline of this pandemic and you all deserve a pay rise. Next Tuesday night at 6.30pm members will be coming together to talk about the current situation in aged care and our plan to Fight For 25.
