HSU members remain committed to negotiating in good faith with HealtheCare. However, HealtheCare refused to attend this week’s bargaining meeting because they had no significant updates to bring to the table.

That means HealtheCare’s pay offer stands at 2.5 per cent each year from 2024 to 2027. Yet, HSU members and activists rejected this sub-standard proposal in December. We insist that, after working through a pandemic and an ongoing cost-of-living crisis, 2.5 is not enough!

The only way to win more at the bargaining table is for union members to take part in the fight. Over the next fortnight, organisers and activists will circulate a petition demanding a better wage offer from HealtheCare.
