South Eastern Sydney Local Health District has advised the HSU of an update in response to concerns raised about the Emergency Department Assessment Unit (EDAU) at Prince of Wales Hospital.

Following consultation with staff and HSU members, a number of serious Work Health and Safety concerns were identified. As a response, SafeWork was contacted and will be undertaking a risk assessment of the Staff Station at the EDAU.
