SESLHD: Safe Haven pilot program for industrial relations
-
Published June 12, 2024
Dear Member,
South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) has advised the HSU of a development regarding SESLHD’s Safe Haven program, with the district securing additional funding to initiate a pilot program that will extend service hours to include Thursday evenings.
The pilot program will run from 1 July 2024 through to 30 June 2025, during which time Safe Haven will operate from Thursday through Tuesday, 4pm-10pm. The temporary pilot program will extend services to six evenings a week, thereby enhancing capacity to support the community.
To manage this extension, SESLHD has determined this will inevitably create some gaps in staff coverage and there will be a need to backfill these gaps and recruit additional personnel.
