SESLHD: Domestic violence community vigil
-
Published April 29, 2024
Dear Member,
Every week, a woman is murdered by someone they know in Australia and SESLH HSU members are encouraged to come along to a vigil next month to remember and reflect on those victims of domestic and family violence.
Among those honoured and remembered at the event will be HSU member Gihan “Gigi” Kerollos, who worked in administration at Prince of Wales Hospital
The 47-year-old mother-of-three was killed by her husband in 2019.
Please come along to the vigil and remember Ms Kerollos and other women who have lost their lives due to domestic and family violence in Australia.
The event will include speeches, a minute of silence and the laying of roses in remembrance.
When: Wednesday, 1 May (12-1pm)
Where: High Cross Park, Avoca St, Randwick
No RSVP necessary. Light refreshment provided.
