The HSU has been made aware of dangerous understaffing in the CSSD at RPA.

There are a total of five positions that have not been filled. This is compounded by an increase in workload following the transfer of two staff from Endoscopy to CSSD that have also taken on the workload of all JL Theatre.

HSU members are asking for two extra staff to be placed in Endoscopy to help with the workload, as well as the five vacant positions to be recruited to.

The HSU Sub Branch committee met today and resolved to write to management and request a response as to when these positions will be filled.

If the Sub Branch has not had a response by close of business 4 December, members will be forced to take action to make management take this matter seriously and listen to our concerns.
