The HSU has received notification that Fresh Hope Care plan to close the McCauley Lodge Residential Care facility located at Thirroul, see correspondence at this link.

Fresh Hope Care intends to cease operations at McCauley Lodge from the 21st of August 2022.

Understandably, this will be a difficult time for all involved. The HSU will be organising to meet with management in the coming weeks to discuss the closure and how we can support members during this difficult time. 

It is very important that members take time to consider their preferences for the future, including redeployment options and/or redundancy. Members should not feel pressured to make a decision until they have received all of the information and representation.
