Prince of Wales Cleaners: Urgent zoom meeting to discuss COVID risks
-
Published July 21, 2021
Some of you will be aware of the action your fellow HSU members at Westmead recently took regarding safety issues when working in high-risk COVID areas. The HSU is now aware that some members at Prince of Wales Hospital have expressed similar concerns.
All staff should have access to appropriate PPE, regardless of where they work. This is especially important if you work in a high-risk COVID area. PPE should be fitted properly for it to be effective and your mask should be fit tested. In addition, unvaccinated staff should not be working in high-risk COVID areas.
This isn’t just to keep you safe, but also to protect your family, friends, and the public from the spread of COVID-19.
To deal with this serious issue, an urgent zoom meeting of members working in Domestic Services at Prince of Wales will be held at 12pm Thursday 22nd July. You can join the meeting via your computer or by phone, please see details below.
