Outcome of IRC conciliation re strike

Earlier this afternoon, HealthShare filed an application in the IRC to have the strike action lifted.
HealthShare was seeking a recommendation that members cease the strike action entirely and return to work, however the Commissioner did not grant such a broad recommendation.
Instead, the recommendation from the Commissioner is that members of HSU NSW who are employed as Patient Transport Officers currently participating in strike action that ceases at 6am, 29/04/2023, will provide work in the circumstances where patient safety is at risk and alternative resources cannot be attained by HealthShare.
Delegates have stated that the strike action should NOT be lifted and that members should continue fighting the good fight. The strike continues.
It does not seem that HealthShare are seeking orders to cease action at this time.
Keep it up – HealthShare taking members to the Commission shows that the strike is working.
