NSW Health Patient Transport Officers Training Dispute

The HSU has been in dispute with NSW Health regarding payment for mandatory training for Patient Transport Officers (PTO).
The HSU has been arguing that any training required under your Award should be paid for by NSW Health and in work time.
As part of this dispute, NSW Health have proposed an amendment to the Award definition of a PTO. The effect of this change is to remove the specific training requirements for PTOs and leaves the training requirements at the discretion of NSW Health. The amendment a makes it clear any training will be provided by NSW Health and in work time. The Ministry is saying that this will avoid any future disputes about who is responsible for training.
