NSW Health Pathology is proposing to restructure the JHH Microbiology Lab.

The proposal includes having each section of Microbiology being led by a Senior Hospital Scientist reporting the Senior Hospital Scientist In Charge of Laboratory, as well as the addition of an additional 0.5 FTE Hospital Scientist in Microbiology. There is also a proposed increase in FTE for the afternoon shift.

Separately, approval has been provided to extend 1.5 FTE of COVID-funded temporary contracts for a further 12 months.
