Your union has been continually pressing the Ministry of Health to release further information about payment of the NSW Government’s $3000 health worker bonus.

The Ministry has finally released this information. The one-off payment is scheduled to be paid as below:

28 July 2022         Pay Cycle 2 employees
4 August 2022      Pay Cycle 1 and 5 employees
5 August 2022      Pay Cycle 3 employees

The Government has said that payment is in recognition of the extraordinary role health workers have played in the last two years. But we know that HSU members always make an incredible contribution to our health system – pandemic or otherwise.

It’s time for the Government to put their money where their mouth is and commit to a 2023 pay rise that keeps up with the cost of living.
