Today the NSW Government announced that Hawkesbury District Health Service will transition from St John of God to Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) from 1 July 2024.
HSU officials were on site all day today and will be on site tomorrow to assist members who have questions or concerns over the transition. If you can’t make it in person, you can also send questions to [E-Mail not displayed] using the subject line SJOG Hawkesbury.
The HSU will be involved in the transition process and will ensure that HSU members’ rights and entitlements are protected.
There are more meetings to come with the Ministry of Health and St John of God. The HSU will keep members up to date with all information as it comes to hand.
The HSU has written to St John of God Hawkesbury and Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District to request that a transition committee is formed that will ensure HSU members’ collective and individual concerns are addressed. Local HSU delegates and HSU officials will form part of this transition committee.
If you know someone who isn’t an HSU member, encourage them to join straight away so they can attend members’ meetings and receive support during this transition process.
New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
