NSLHD Allied Health: Union Win!
-
Published October 6, 2023
In December 2022, NSLHD commenced consultation with the HSU in relation to the proposed realignment of Allied Health Services at RNSH and Ryde Hospital.
The proposed realignment made several HSU members’ positions vulnerable to downgrading and subsequent financial loss. The HSU actively pushed back against changes without clear commitments based on sound Award principles to protect the HSU member gradings. In a significant win for HSU members, NSLHD have agreed to maintain the impacted positions gradings.
This is an important win to ensuring the HSU Health Professional Award is properly respected and positions are not downgraded arbitrarily.
