Notice of in-person meeting: Operational Ambulance Managers Award
-
Published November 1, 2023
Today, the Industrial Relations Commission signed off on the 4% pay rise for members under the Operational Ambulance Managers Award. The pay rise will be backdated from 1 July 2023.
The Award is officially closed until July 2024. However, the result of negotiations from members is a commitment from the Ministry that they will engage in regular and recurrent discussions around the Award pertaining to expected usual hours to be performed, payment for hours worked in advance of usual hours, on-call arrangements, and the ‘Reasonable Hours’ clause of the Award.
If an agreement is reached between the HSU and the Ministry in respect of these matters, then an award variation may be filed to give effect to that agreement within the lifetime of the Award (i.e., before 30 June 2024), and the Ministry will not seek to use Clause 35 (No Extra Claims) of the Award. This commitment was outlined in a letter from the Ministry to the HSU which can be viewed here.
Now is the time for members to get together and work on a log of claims for the Award. In order to get the ball rolling, a meeting for ADHSU members under the Operational Ambulance Managers Award will be held on Monday 6 November 2023 from 1000-1300 hours. The meeting location is at HSU Head Office, Level 2, 109 Pitt Street Sydney.
Your in-person attendance is preferred, but those who are unable to attend in person are welcome to dial in via zoom. Zoom link here.
