NO MORE CUTS! FILL IN THIS SURVEY AND HAVE YOUR SAY TODAY!

Dear Member,

HSU Allied Health and Administration members came together at NSLHD with a clear message to the Government: NO STAFFING CUTS.

HSU members have voted to hold one-hour stop work meetings across NSLHD from 1230-1.30pm on Tuesday, 1 October.

See your hospital’s details at the end of this email for timings and further information.

The SNW Government and Ministry of Health have imposed savings targets on LHDs, and Allied Health is bearing the brunt of these in NSLHD.

There is nothing left to cut!

The HSU has been informed of the following cuts in NSLHD (so far):

  • Reduction in FTE at RNSH between 25-50 FTE.
  • Vacant positions not being filled.
  • Expired or expiring temporary contracts are not being renewed. Staff and given 28 days’ notice.
  • Staff demoted from senior positions to substantive roles.
  • MVH may lose up to 15 FTE – confirmation has been received these will not be clinical roles at this stage.
  • Hornsby Ku-ring-ai Allied Health Departments have been directed to reduce their FTE budget by 6 per cent each.

The government needs to know how these cuts will impact you and the community. Fill out this survey now so your delegates can understand the full impact of the proposed cuts and table this impact when meeting with NSLHD executive.

Now is the time to fight these changes before they are locked in!

HSU members will speak up and be heard. Members will protect staff and patients from catastrophic cuts.
