NNSWLHD recently decided to implement the Community and Allied Health restructure despite significant concerns held by HSU members. A Union Dispute was lodged at the NSW Industrial Relations Commission so these issues could be addressed.

On 15 November, HSU members attended a Conciliation meeting at the IRC. The IRC heard key concerns raised by HSU members and the LHD’s failure to engage in a transparent and genuine consultation process for the restructure.

We have secured a commitment from the LHD to commit to ongoing discussions regarding the restructure, with monthly meetings to commence from December. The next meeting will be held on 15 December 2022.
