The Health Services Union has organised a meeting on site next Wednesday at 2:30pm in the Training Room to discuss your enterprise agreement.
As you would have seen Mareeba management are proposing a whole new agreement with major changes that will impact all staff. Some of these changes are really concerning, so it’s important that we have a strong and united response.
So far management have also refused to commit to decent wage increases that properly pay you for the hard work that you do. This isn’t good enough and we need to get organised to get a better enterprise agreement.
All HSU members are encouraged to attend the meeting. Non-union members are also welcome to attend and we will have union membership forms so they can join.
This is also an opportunity for HSU members to finalise what items we would like to see in the new agreement. All HSU members are encouraged to fill out this short survey here, so we know what issues are most important to you.
The HSU will always be led by HSU members. This is your agreement and we encourage everyone to be active in the process.
If your colleagues are not yet HSU members, encourage them to fill out the survey and join the union at www.hsu.asn.au/join today.
In unity,
Gerard Hayes
Secretary, HSU NSW/ACT/QLD
