Roster updates at Calvary Ryde

HSU members at Calvary Ryde are in consultation about a proposed new roster after management attempted to reduce hours of work for some workers.

While the proposed roster had some benefits for workers, including an increased handover time between shifts, management also proposed several reductions to hours of work.

You cannot be forced to reduce your contracted hours of work, simply because management request it. Changes to your contracted hours can only take place with your agreement.

HSU members have raised concerns about the negative impacts of the proposal and this week met with management to discuss these issues.

Calvary management have agreed to review the proposal and come back to members with alternative options.

It’s important that all HSU members stick together through this process and support each other. Any new roster must be an improvement for residents and workers, and no one should be left worse off!

Encourage your workmates to join the HSU. Together you have strength in your workplace. New members can join online at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
