Orchards Aged Care: Have your say on proposed new Enterprise Agreement

Dear member,

The HSU has been informed The Orchards Aged Care has been sold to Arcare Aged Care.

Arcare has now made an application to the Fair Work Commission, to transfer all employees covered by The Orchards Enterprise Agreement over to the Arcare Enterprise Agreement, as part of the transfer of business.

If approved, this means that your wages and conditions of employment would be governed by the Arcare Enterprise Agreement 2023.

The Fair Work Commission wants to know what HSU members think – members are encouraged to share any feedback as part of this consultation process.

The HSU has reviewed the terms in The Orchards Enterprise Agreement and compared these with the terms in the new Arcare Aged Care Enterprise Agreement, which came into effect last year. Our assessment is that the terms in the Arcare enterprise agreement are superior to The Orchards Enterprise Agreement and would provide additional benefits for members.
