You will recall from previous newsletters that the HSU negotiated with a number of Councils to allow untimed free parking for healthcare workers during the pandemic.

Penrith City Council was previously one of the Councils supporting HSU members during the pandemic. However, this week they contacted the HSU to advise that due to restrictions easing, they will resume normal parking enforcement as of Monday 4 April 2021. Members are advised to again observe the normal parking restrictions to avoid fines.

The HSU continues to advocate for affordable parking for all health workers. We will update members with any further developments.
